Area Activities:    
 
Sunrise Ski Resort: Open year round, Sunrise is a great place for family fun and only 30 miles from our lodge.
Fishing: Rainbow Lake is ½ a mile away. Show Low Lake, Scott's Reservoir and Woodland Lake are all minutes away. There are also numerous streams available for your fishing pleasure. Hawley Lake, Lee Valley Lakes & Big Lake are a short drive away. Fishing paraphernalia is available to rent in town. On the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, there is a $5 per day fee and a limit of 10 trout. Ice fishing is also great fun.

Boating: If you don't have your own boat, Rainbow Lake and Show Low Lake both have boat rentals.
Hiking/Biking: The White Mountain Trail system is approximately 180 miles of loop trails stretching across the Lakeside District of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. South Fork Trail is a six-mile round trip, easy hike.
Hunting: Deer, Elk, Antelope, Bear, Lion, Turkey, Grouse and others. Some of the best hunting around. Whether you're hunting with a firearm or with a camera, the wildlife here can't be beat!
Horseback Riding: If you would like to experience horseback riding, there are several riding stables that offer rates by the hour, half day, full day and even breakfast, lunch or dinner rides. Brochures are available.
Auto Tour: The Trail of Many Tracks is an historic and beautifully scenic byway of 440 miles. The trail can be enjoyed in short segments at different times, or in its entirety. A two hour interpretive audio recording and trail map set is available.
Antique Shopping: One of the favorite pass-times in the White Mountains is looking for that rare or antique item. The many antique and specialty shops in the area make antiquing an all day event.
Golfing: If you prefer to play a game of golf in the mid 70s, surrounded by tall pines and luscious green fairways, with a cool breeze coming by every hole or two, then the White Mountains is the place to be. Check out Pinetop Lakeside Golf or Silver Creek Golf Club.
Museums: The cities of the White Mountains have a diverse and unique history. Visit the many museums and get a taste of what made these towns what they are.
Rodeos: Many rodeos are held, from High School to Pro.
Celebrations: 4th of July, Pioneer Day, Native American Art Festival, Bluegrass Music Festival, Fall Festival and Oktoberfest. Check out the Pinetop/Lakeside Chamber's Calendar of Events.
Casino: Hon Dah Casino is about 15 minutes away.
Places of interest: Petrified Forest, Painted Desert, Fire overlook towers, Hopi and Navajo Reservations (Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly and Navajo National Monument), Fort Apache Indian Reservation (fish hatchery, Fort Apache, Kinishba Ruins, Williams Creek fish hatchery).
